In connection with landscaping and putting up a small conservatory in the garden, the idea came to use the opportunity to simultaneously install a Spiral Cellar, with access from within the conservatory.
The model is Original, 2.0m deep. The trap door is a wooden hatch which we have chosen to insulate on the underside of the hatch. The temperatures in an conservatory can range from freezing cold to scorching heat, and without insulation at the top, these differences will mean that condensation will accumulate in the top of the hatch. When the cellar is established inside a home, you have completely different stable temperatures across the top of the hatch, hence condensation does not prove to be a challenge in such installations.
